It contains no harmful substances to the human body, making it suitable for items that come into direct contact with skin. It is considered an environmentally friendly leather. ● Color Changes in Vegetable-Tanned Leather Natural vegetable-tanned leather deepens in color and develops a richer luster and softer texture with use over time. Colored vegetable-tanned leather is dyed using non-polluting pigments in the most natural way. While the color change in black may not be as pronounced as natural, it will still develop a beautiful, lustrous sheen with long-term use. The unique charm of vegetable-tanned leather lies in how each item develops its own distinct character based on individual usage habits. ● Why Are There Various Marks on the Leather Surface? The most common marks include insect bites, growth lines, brands, and scars (holes). Scars (holes) are typically avoided in production. Brands may be incorporated into special designs depending on their size and shape. Natural cowhide leather exhibits wrinkles and growth lines due to different parts of the hide. Cows may encounter friction with other cattle or insect bites during their growth.
