The soldering phase is where our design truly starts to take shape. The foiled pieces are assembled on a flat surface, following the design mapped out in the initial stages. Before polishing, we perform patination—a crucial process where we apply chemicals to the soldered lines to create a dark finish. This technique enhances the colors of the glass and adds depth to the pendant, heightening its aesthetic appeal. Following patination, the suncatcher is polished to perfection, bringing out its inherent shine and smoothness. We then proceed to the final stage—painting. Using specific water-resistant paints, we carefully etch details onto the pendant, adding a layer of complexity and individuality. This step infuses each item with an exclusive touch, creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that bears our unique artistic signature.
