Throughout human history, whales have symbolized motherhood. Psychologically, they represent resurrection and rebirth. To capture the feeling of a whale leaping through the sea, we first used paste-resist dyeing to outline the form. Then, layer by layer, we adjusted the depth of color and light and shadow—all to preserve the unique tenderness of these magnificent creatures. Personally, I give each whale its own distinct sea, with variations in the dyeing patterns and techniques for every piece. Please use a neutral detergent and dry in the shade. Do not use detergents containing bleach. **Notes/** Colors may vary due to differences in computer monitor settings; the actual product color is definitive. All dimensions are measured by hand horizontally. Due to factors such as fabric elasticity, washing treatments, and measurement points, there may be slight discrepancies from the actual product dimensions. The allowable measurement error is ±2cm. Traditional plant-based indigo dyeing, through multiple immersions, drying, and rinsing stages, creates rich, unreproducible colors. Color variations and unevenness are not defects but are characteristic and charming aspects of botanical dyeing. The warmth of handmade lies in each piece being unique and one-of-a-kind. Please consider this carefully if you are concerned. Handmade botanical dyes do not contain chemical fixatives. Initial color shedding is normal; after a period of wear and washing, and full oxidation, the color will stabilize.
