Vintage Antique Bronze Elongated Pearl Brooch Pin - Rare French Find B1338

A rare, elongated twisted brooch, acquired in France. Likely made of brass and faux pearls, it has a substantial feel and is in good condition. Dimensions: 8.3 x 1.4 cm. I'd like to share a detail about the safety clasp on the back. This type of clasp is called a Trombone Clasp, or sometimes a Push-pull safety clasp. It's a design frequently found in French and European jewelry. Widely used in the 1940s, even vintage Chanel pieces feature this design! Take a look at your own brooches; do any have this mechanism?
