It is gently handwoven using two strands of fine yarn, giving it a fluffy, soft texture with trapped air, unlike machine-woven products. It feels incredibly smooth and drapes lightly. Delicate and intricate patterns are woven with soft ivory for the warp and a deep mulberry color for the weft. The color deepens with sunlight, showing more red tones, and appears more purplish under white light. In Japanese traditional colors, it's a beautiful shade close to "Grape Color" (Budō-iro).
