When we first launched this Crybaby design, which mixes Supreme style with internet memes, one of the more subtle inspirations came from the eccentric talent Melanie Martinez's album "Cry Baby." Her signature look—two-toned hair, a gap between her teeth, a sweet singing voice paired with an eerie musical style—is iconic. The 2016 album "Cry Baby" features a dreamy album cover, and all 13 songs delve into the harsh realities of growing up. The first track, "Cry Baby," tells the story of a protagonist who is as melancholic as Lin Daiyu reborn. She cried so much from birth that her room flooded, leading her mother to dislike her and name her "Cry Baby."
