Began studying jade carving in Taipei in 1988. Studied Advertising Design in vocational high school in 1993, integrating design concepts into his work. Established his own studio in 1994. Received an honorable mention in the 14th National Art Exhibition of Taiwan (Nanying Arts Exhibition), Craft category, for "Poised for Action" in 2000. Participated in a joint jade exhibition at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in August 2000. Invited to present live carving demonstrations at the Hualien International Arts Festival in 2001. Selected for the "Dream of Craftsmanship" exhibition at the 10th Taiwan Craft Design Competition in 2002. Participated in a joint jade exhibition at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau in January 2002. Exhibited in a joint jade and stone carving exhibition at the "Flowers and Trees Carnival" in Changhua County in May 2002. Invited to participate in the "Grand View of Stones" exhibition, jointly organized by the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Cultural Foundation and the Hualien County Cultural Affairs Bureau, held in department stores across northern, central, and southern Taiwan from October to December 2002. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit works such as "Lotus Ecological Charm" in the "Taitung Local Crafts Exhibition" at the Presidential Office in 2003. Featured in the National Education Radio program "Arts and Culture Corridor - Xie Zhong-ren Jade Stone Carving Exhibition" from March to June 2004. Received an honorable mention in the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition, "Dream of Craftsmanship" category. Held a solo exhibition at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall from October 2004 to January 2005. Invited by the National Taiwan Museum to exhibit his work "Taiwanese Snacks - Braised Pork Rice" in 2005. Participated in the "Sherlock Holmes Exhibition" with the National Museum of the Czech Republic from June to September 2005, exhibiting alongside other artworks. Established the brand "Yu Ning Shi" and opened a counter in department stores in 2005. Participated in the "Craftsmanship Masters" exhibition at Pacific Sogo Department Store in mid-December 2005. Invited to participate in the "Craftsmanship Up Close - Applied Crafts for Daily Life" exhibition, hosted by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute at the Executive Yuan Gallery in 2007. His work "Japanese-style Sushi" was selected for the "Taiwanese Craft Competition" by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute in 2008. Received an honorable mention in the Traditional Craft category for his work "Lingering Thoughts" at the Ministry of Culture and National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute's "Taiwanese Craft Competition" in 2012. Received an honorable mention in the Craft category for his work "Serene Mountain Landscape" at the 21st Nanying Arts Exhibition in Tainan City in 2012. Invited to exhibit in the "Cross-Strait Jade Carving Masters Gathering" at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in 2013, showcasing his work in the Master Jade Carving section. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit in the "Gathering Around the Hearth - Sustainable Craftsmanship Exhibition" at the Presidential Office Gallery in 2016, featuring three works: "Japanese-style Sushi," "Handmade Mochi," and "Leaping Moment." His work "Spring Scenery of Withered Lotus" received an honorable mention at the Taoyuan Arts Exhibition in Taoyuan City in 2017. Held his solo exhibition, "Xie Zhong-ren Jade Carving 30 Years - Continuing Culture," at the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in 2018. Invited by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute to exhibit his work "Auspicious Dragon Bringing Prosperity" in the "Feast · Happiness" exhibition at the Presidential Office Gallery from January to June 2019. His work was featured in the "Joyful Art - Taiwan Craft Development Association Boutique Exhibition," held concurrently at the Hsinchu County Cultural Affairs Bureau (July 29 - August 16, 2020) and the Taipei Dangdai Contemporary Craft Design Branch of the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute (October 6, 2020 - February 28, 2021). His work "Japanese-style Sushi" was exhibited in the "Creative Regeneration Green Craft" exhibition organized by the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute from October to November 2021.
