Sake Cup

This wheel-thrown sake cup was made in my small pottery workshop here in Taiwan. My workshop overlooks the Yamingshan mountain which is a constant source of inspiration. This pot was made from Japanese clay and then an original glaze was applied. This glaze reacted to the soda in the kiln and resulted in a beautiful speckled golden/purplish finish. I also impressed a groove in one side to aid drinking pleasure My seal is stamped at the base of this sake cup. Be the owner of a handmade sake made from the beautiful island of Taiwan.
