Crafted from solid *Ita* wood (commonly known as **Wenge** or **Chicken Wing Wood**), an imported premium wood characterized by its wing-like patterns on the cut surface. Its color ranges from dark brown to reddish-brown, with distinctive pores and natural grain. High-quality wood is shipped randomly. This pen features original brass fittings (unplated brass), a rotating airtight cap, and a specially designed flexible clip. *Ita* wood is highly favored in Japan for its hardness. The heartwood is dark brown to purplish-black, resistant to rot, moisture, and insect infestation, making it suitable for construction, furniture, carving, and musical instruments. It is also known as "railway sleeper wood" as it was a primary material for early Taiwanese railway ties. The nib is a German Bock #250 (#6) two-tone steel nib, meticulously handcrafted by Lao Shanyang artisans into a calligraphy nib capable of producing distinct thick and thin strokes, mimicking a brush pen. After a period of writing, use the converter for inking. 2. The calligraphy nib is an EF nib ground and adjusted to have a curved tip. Line variation is achieved not by pressing down, but by adjusting the writing angle. Holding the pen at a more upright angle reduces the contact area with the paper, resulting in finer lines. As the pen angle becomes more oblique or with slight pressure, the contact area with the paper increases, producing thicker lines.
