Its color typically appears purplish-red, but it exhibits varying shades under indoor lighting, sunlight, or bright illumination. It can shift from plum purple, to orchid, to deep red. Near the base, a soft, milky white glow, reminiscent of moonstone, can be observed. (This effect is not a reflected asterism.) Pearls with luster, fine surface quality, and iridescence are rare, especially in small sizes. (Drilling these is even more challenging.) Below the pearls, a row of purplish-grey agate forms a smiling line: : ) Elegant amethyst-hued spinel, cut into faceted, petite teardrops.
