If the leather becomes heavily saturated with water, dry it promptly and reapply oil for protection. Allowing it to air dry naturally can cause the leather structure to shrink, deform, and harden. 2. To prevent dark water stains if water spills on the leather: Use pure water on wet wipes, or a damp (but not dripping) paper towel or napkin to evenly wipe the entire leather surface where the spill occurred. Dry with cool air. If only hot air is available, maintain a distance of at least thirty centimeters from the leather. After drying, evenly apply leather oil for care. 3. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. 4. In addition to the natural warmth and oils from your hands gradually imparting a rich, warm color and luster to the leather, we recommend regularly wiping it with a dry cloth and then conditioning it with leather oil. 5. Mold spots on leather develop over time from the combination of dust and ambient humidity. For items not in use for extended periods, first wipe off dust with a dry cloth, then wrap them in a dust bag, kraft paper, or cotton cloth (cut from an old white cotton T-shirt) and store them in a well-ventilated area. Frequent handling of the item (to prevent dust and humidity buildup) can also reduce the chance of mold, similar to the principle of "a rolling stone gathers no moss." 6.
