Exposure to rain, sweat, perfume, bathing, hot springs, and chemical products can severely damage jewelry and cause oxidation, so it should be avoided as much as possible. 2. Jewelry can oxidize over time due to interaction with sulfur dioxide in the air, leading to yellowing or darkening.
