This is an SDGs jewelry piece featuring kintsugi, upcycled from Arita ware. Broken or chipped ceramics that are no longer in use are upcycled, finished with kintsugi, and transformed into accessories. Our concept is to bring the beauty of nature and Japan's enduring traditions closer to you, transforming them into modern accessories that connect to the future and create new possibilities. We combined two elegant ceramic fragments, subtly showing leaf and floral patterns, with turquoise. Kintsugi is applied to the sides of the ceramic fragments, allowing the gold to shimmer from the side and add a touch of sophistication. The included chain is an allergy-friendly surgical stainless steel chain with 18K gold plating, making it resistant to tarnishing and gentle on the skin. The chain length is 40cm plus a 5cm adjuster. This piece is created using a modern, simplified kintsugi technique. Instead of traditional urushi lacquer made from tree sap, we use a new type of synthetic lacquer that is less likely to cause irritation, along with gold powder (brass powder).
