To ensure easy personalization, the strap is designed for simple attachment and removal, allowing for a quick change in about 10 seconds without any tools. The strap is made from a single piece of leather, so if it feels too long, you can easily trim it yourself. In those days, wristwatches didn't exist, but pillar clocks often marked noon ("午") at the top, with a 24-hour cycle based on the sun's movement. Each "koku" (a traditional time unit) represented two hours. Therefore, midnight ("子") was positioned at the bottom (equivalent to 6 o'clock on a modern watch), 6 AM ("卯") at what is now 9 o'clock, and 6 PM ("酉") at what is now 3 o'clock. While a 24-hour dial would align perfectly with this timekeeping, this watch uses a standard 12-hour cycle, so the dial serves as a unique design element to be appreciated. After learning about the ingenious methods of people in the past who aligned their clocks with the sun's path at a clock museum, I adjusted the design so that the hour for noon ("午") appears at the top. However, if you would prefer the "子" (midnight) position at the top, mirroring the traditional 12-animal zodiac arrangement, we can recreate the dial for you.
