This online course consists of pre-recorded videos with no viewing expiration, allowing for repeated watching and review. It's ideally suited for those with flexible schedules.
During the pandemic, Atelier Llewellyn transitioned its in-person workshops into an online learning experience. This initiative allows individuals who wish to learn basic hand-sewing, whether during these times or before or after, but reside in different cities or are unable to attend scheduled classes at the studio, to learn comfortably from home.
The designer at Atelier Llewellyn has authentically recreated the content from their in-person workshops. Through detailed explanations and demonstrations in the videos, the aim is to resolve the confusion for those who have struggled to understand how to perform each step after searching through numerous tutorial videos. If you encounter any difficulties during the learning process, you can contact the designer through direct message, and we will do our utmost to provide clarification.
**Note: As the video content requires a certain level of comprehension, please consider if the instructional material is suitable for learners under 15 years of age. The studio will not accept refund requests based on this reason. If you have any concerns before purchasing, please feel free to discuss them with us.**

Have you ever had to discard clothes with loose threads, missing buttons, or undone clasps because you didn't know how to make simple repairs yourself or for your family?
In recent years, the rise of fast fashion has transformed and impacted the purchasing habits and wearing styles of many consumers. Often, clothes are no longer worn before they even show signs of age, which is quite a shame.
However, regardless of how fast fashion shapes our lives, there are inevitably some garments that we cherish and wish to preserve or continue wearing in our daily lives. No matter how carefully we care for them, clothes will eventually need mending. This includes buttons on shirts or coats that become loose, hemlines on trousers or skirts that fray, holes appearing due to broken stitching, or even the desire to alter the length of a garment.
Through online modules focusing on different hand-sewing techniques, this course is designed for absolute beginners who are interested in learning but have no prior sewing experience. The goal is to equip you with basic hand-sewing skills that can be applied to simple garment repairs at home.
This online course exclusively teaches fundamental hand-sewing techniques. You will create practice pieces (to gain proficiency) which can then serve as reference samples for future self-review.
