Vast plains stretching as far as the eye can see, with an unfamiliar house standing amidst them. What kind of building is it, and what kind of people live there... We've transformed memories of landscapes from distant, faraway lands visited on a journey into a brooch using the wood mosaic technique. Wood mosaic (Zogan) is a craft where different colored woods are fitted together like a puzzle to create patterns and pictures. Some of the black dots and lines are created by scorching the wood. No artificial coloring is used; the natural colors of the wood are preserved. Each piece is crafted individually, highlighting the unique grain of each wood. Adorn your clothing as an accent, or attach it to a hat or a simple bag... When hung on a wall, it becomes a small piece of art.
