**◈ A Word from the Designer**
This piece meticulously selects two precious **organic gemstones** – **amber (honey wax) and pearls** – for its design.
Since ancient times, **gemstones in golden hues have been considered stones of wealth**, symbolizing prosperity.
The finest stone of wealth, **amber**, is carved into ancient coins (representing wealth and peace) and strung together to form the body of the bracelet. The gemstone gleams with a golden luster, appearing moist, light, and elegant, showcasing its top-tier quality.
**Golden shell pearls**, also known as **stones of wealth**, adorn the bracelet, enhanced by yellow K gold diamond beads and accessories to elevate its overall radiance.
The main pendant features a top-grade **amber Ruyi (meaning "as desired") carved with the character for blessings**, complemented by a tassel of white pearls. This serves as a **toggle clasp (detachable or usable as a pendant for a necklace)**.
The interplay of gold and silver creates a piece that is resplendent, abundant, and noble – a true treasure.
**This is a one-of-a-kind piece, awaiting its prosperous and elegant owner. ^^**
**Amber**
Amber (Amber) is a precious fossil formed from the resin of coniferous trees that dripped and was buried underground 45 to 99 million years ago. It underwent petrification under the pressure and heat of the Earth's crust, classifying it as an organic gemstone, also known as "resin fossil" or "pine resin fossil."
Ancient Chinese believed amber to be the "soul of the tiger," hence its name "hupo" (tiger soul). The foreign name "amber" originates from the Arabic word "Anbar" (meaning "glue"), and the Spanish referred to both buried Arabic glue and amber as "amber."
Amber comes in various shapes, often containing bubbles, ancient insects, or plant matter within.
The best way to care for amber is through prolonged wear (being nurtured by the wearer). The body's oils and warmth interact subtly with amber, moisturizing and preserving it, making it shine brighter with time.
As an organic gemstone, amber has low hardness and is brittle. It should be protected from impact, kept away from chemicals, and not stored in high-temperature or dry environments.
Generally, amber is classified and named based on its appearance:
1. "Honey Wax, Golden Swirl Honey Wax": Opaque or semi-opaque amber.
2. "Golden Amber": Transparent golden amber with a bright, noble hue. In ancient times, golden amber was also called a "stone of wealth," its golden radiance believed to bring continuous fortune and blessings.
3. "Red Amber": Blood-red amber, resembling red wine in color, ranging from red to deep red. Top-grade red amber is rich, vibrant, and translucent.
4. "Inclusion Amber": Amber containing ancient insects or plant matter. The preserved insects within can remain perfectly intact, far exceeding the preservation found in rock fossils.
5. "Blue Amber": Blue amber is exclusively found in the Dominican Republic. It is formed when the high temperatures from volcanic eruptions millions of years ago caused fluorescent substances (polycyclic aromatic molecules) to integrate into ordinary amber during pyrolysis, creating its distinctive blue hue. It is a national treasure of the Dominican Republic. Top-grade blue amber exhibits a clear blue glow, akin to the sky, making it highly collectible.
6. "Flower Amber": Amber with internal bubbles that, under high-temperature compression, form flaky patterns resembling petals.
7. "Water Amber": Amber containing water droplets, also known as water-vein amber.
8. "Scented Amber": Amber with a faint, natural resin aroma; this refers to amber with a noticeable scent.
**Ruyi**
The term "Ruyi" is easily understood as "as one wishes," signifying the fulfillment of desires.
The Ruyi typically features a cloud pattern or a lingzhi mushroom at the top, connected to a long handle. Sometimes, only the shape of a lingzhi or cloud pattern is used as a representation.
The Qing Dynasty text "Shi Wu Yi Ming Lu" records that "Ruyi was an ancient back scratcher," implying it was a tool for scratching one's back (similar to a modern "back scratcher").
Furthermore, Ruyi was used by ancient officials in court to record matters to be presented, akin to a "hu" (also called "chaohu" or "shouban"), and in warfare, it was used as a signal for command. Thus, Ruyi symbolizes wisdom, power, and auspiciousness.
We often see Bodhisattvas holding Ruyi:
"Guanyin of the Ruyi" holds a Ruyi, symbolizing her ability to perceive all things, rescue from danger, avert misfortune, ensure all wishes are fulfilled, and bring peace of mind.
"Manjushri Bodhisattva" symbolizes wisdom. The different implements he holds carry various meanings: a sword signifies cutting through afflictions; a green lotus represents pure wisdom untainted by defilement; and a Ruyi signifies wisdom and auspiciousness. Therefore, Ruyi also represents wisdom.
**Shell Pearl**
Shell pearls are crafted from large deep-sea conch shells, tridacna, abalone shells, blue pearl oysters, luminous conch shells, white butterfly shells, mother-of-pearl, hawksbill turtle shells, and other shells. They are increasingly rare and precious organic gemstones.
Shell pearls possess a captivating luster and rich colors, rivaling pearls in beauty. For centuries, shells have been polished into artistic objects and ornaments, serving as symbols of luxury and splendor for both Eastern and Western nobility.
The collection and crafting process for shell pearls is considered more humane and environmentally friendly than for pearls, making them favored by jewelry collectors.
**Pearl**
The English word "Pearl" originates from the Latin "Pemnla," meaning "child of the sea." Throughout Eastern and Western history, pearls have symbolized health, purity, and nobility, and are the birthstone for June.
Pearls, amber, and coral are the world's three major organic gemstones, with pearls often hailed as the king of organic gemstones.
Pearls are produced by mollusks and bivalves, with their main chemical component being calcium carbonate. They have low hardness and are soluble in acids and alkalis. Therefore, pearls should not be in prolonged contact with coarse fabrics or hard objects, and should be kept away from cosmetics, perfumes, dyes, and any chemicals. They should also not be oiled for preservation.
Pearls exhibit a rich and varied spectrum of colors, from warm tones of yellow, gold, orange, pink, and creamy white, to cool tones of green, blue, indigo, purple, and gray.
Pearls can form naturally or be cultured. Currently, 99% of pearls on the market are cultured.
Natural pearls are primarily found in the Persian Gulf region and India, as well as freshwater pearls from the United States.
Japan possesses the most mature technology for cultured pearls, producing the highest quality. Other regions include China, Tahiti, Australia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Myanmar in the South Seas.
Cultured pearls are divided into four types:
1. Nucleated Cultured Pearls - Tend to be spherical. (Perfectly spherical natural pearls are extremely rare.)
2. Keshi Pearls - Nucleus attached to the shell, allowing the pearl to grow around it.
3. Mabe Pearls - Pronounced "ma-beh" from Japanese, these are half-spherical, also known as "bun pearls" or "half-round pearls."
4. Seedless Cultured Pearls - Freshwater cultured pearls, used for making pearl powder due to the absence of a nucleus.

**◈ On Usage and Collection**
1. Natural gemstones possess their own luster and unique textures (fine black spots, stone lines, ice cracks, cloudiness, mineral inclusions, asymmetry, and other natural details). With frequent wear, you will observe subtle color changes in natural gemstones, often becoming more translucent and captivating – this is the best form of care.
Natural organic gemstones (such as coral and amber) have low hardness and are sensitive to acids and alkalis. When soiled, avoid using detergents. Simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. You may also use a soft brush dipped in a small amount of mineral oil (such as baby oil) for gentle polishing and care.
2. Metal jewelry has a long lifespan, provided it is protected from external damage or strong acids/alkalis that could cause fading.
3. Fabric materials (ribbons, cotton, gauze) are soft and comfortable to the touch and have a long lifespan, provided they are kept away from high temperatures, external damage, or strong acids/alkalis that could cause fading.
4. For jewelry of any material, when soiled, wipe with a soft cloth dampened with water as appropriate. For suitable materials, a moderate amount of neutral detergent may be used. After washing, ensure the item is dried promptly.
5. When jewelry is removed, it should be stored properly in packaging to minimize exposure to air and slow down oxidation and discoloration. Avoid stacking or pressing items heavily.
