What is the wood-firing process?** American, Japanese, and Miaoli clays are blended in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-building (not a pottery wheel) with slow shaping, followed by refining the form and smoothing before completing the greenware. After entering the kiln, the pieces undergo a continuous five-day, four-night wood-firing process using natural longan wood and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200°C. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the work, forming a unique ash glaze. Simultaneously, the flame patterns within the kiln flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame markings. Following five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! What should our esteemed guests note?** The product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As the works are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear the marks of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur due to the firing process, such as slight irregularities in the rim or minor production scratches; these are normal and do not affect usability.
