That's how "SOU・SOU Jūsu" became the familiar design we know today. With natural, hand-drawn lines, Wakui gives each number an irregular outline, creating unique digits. Today, "SOU・SOU Jūsu" has become the pattern for the brand's wrapping paper and shopping bags, serving as a symbol of SOU・SOU. Warau (Smile) - Original Design: 2011 "A smile is different from laughter; a gentle smile holds true meaning. If you encounter a radiant smile, you're sure to be enveloped in its warmth." - Koji Wakui The beloved "Warau" (Smile) was initially just a decoration Wakui casually drew on a piece of mosaic tile! He kept this tile hanging on his studio wall. Despite multiple visits, Hisanori Wakabayashi showed no particular reaction to this decoration. Then one day, Wakabayashi suddenly pointed to the "Smile" on the wall and said, "Wakui-san, let's use this pattern for our dyeing and printing!" Wakabayashi commented that "Smile" was like a girl he didn't notice in third grade but suddenly fell in love with by the sixth grade.
