It is characterized by its white color and a silk-like luster. The COCOCOCO OrganicCotton & Linen (Ramie) border fabric is meticulously woven by a textile mill in Shiga Prefecture. Utilizing Supima organic cotton, it results in a supple, lustrous, and incredibly lightweight fabric with a fine 80/- count. The weft yarn is strongly twisted, creating a crisp texture and a fine crinkled surface (shibo). This construction allows for excellent breathability, keeping the fabric away from the skin and enabling air circulation through the material, making it comfortably cool during hot summer days. The process leverages the properties of cotton's shrinkage when strongly twisted and ramie's lack of stretch, resulting in a seersucker-like fabric that utilizes the unique characteristics of each material.
