[ Keelung Station ] The third generation Keelung Station, distinguished by its clock tower, was inaugurated on October 30, 1908. Embodying British classical architectural style, it, along with Hsinchu Station (German style) and Taichung Station (British style) built during the same period, represents Renaissance architecture. Keelung Station serves as the starting point for the Taiwan Railways Administration's (TRA) North-Link Line and the Western Line. Its main entrance directly faces Keelung Port, making it not only the only coastal first-class station but also the northernmost station currently in operation by TRA. This station marks the terminus of the Keelung Harbor Line, where a single siding remains for the transfer of railway cars to and from ships. Situated at the central point of Taiwan's northern coastline, Keelung Station has also become a transportation hub for the northern coastal region, connecting to several nearby bus transfer stations, facilitating travel for passengers heading to various destinations along the coast.
