The lighter the leather color, the more visible the engraving. Slight imperfections in alignment are inherent to the hand-embossing process. If you are comfortable with this, please provide your engraving details in the order notes! *Engraving takes longer than usual, adding 2-3 days to the production time. It oxidizes over time, deepening and brightening in color, revealing natural grain patterns that may become more pronounced with use. The natural color can develop from a light skin tone to a caramel hue. Dyed leathers typically darken by one to two shades. The final color can vary depending on environmental temperature and the amount of natural oils from your hands, so each piece will develop uniquely! Chrome-Tanned Leather: Tanned using chromium salts, it has a stronger odor but a softer feel. Colors are achieved through surface coatings, and grain patterns are often pressed on, resulting in a more uniform appearance and better resistance to dirt. Our brand primarily uses vegetable-tanned leather, which features natural, irregular grain patterns. These patterns may become more prominent over time, which is a unique characteristic of vegetable-tanned leather. If you prefer only uniform grain patterns, please take note of the leather type. **Care Instructions** Leather is not water-resistant. Do not wear it while bathing or submerge it in water. If it accidentally gets wet, first gently blot away as much moisture as possible with a clean cloth and let it air dry in a well-ventilated area (do not use a fan or hairdryer). Water can strip away oils, leaving the leather unprotected. You can attempt to remedy this by applying leather conditioner (like mink oil), or you can send it back to us for re-oiling and conditioning. Avoid storing infrequently used leather items in damp, dark places. Remember to take them out periodically for airing and simple oiling every season.
