The edges are painted with Bronze glaze to resemble rusted metal, which adds a nice accent. The handle is brushed with white cosmetic mud, but since the base is black clay it appears grey. The inside is dark grey. The size is small, for people who can't drink a lot at once. *Unlike porcelain, pottery (earthenware) has a soft, warm ceramic surface.
