From the 1930s, produced by the Italian LUS pen factory. This N. 1930 E.F. nib is crafted from alloy and possesses excellent flexibility. The writing line is highly controllable, ranging from EF to M. For reference, the sample photos use Staedtler fountain pen ink (not shellac ink). The paper used is Double A copy paper (which may cause slight feathering). Ideal for English calligraphy. It can also be used for writing Chinese characters; simply pay attention to the strokes at the turns to prevent ink blobbing. A note on vintage vs. modern nibs: Vintage nibs feature thicker metal and more meticulous craftsmanship. Made from virgin metal (not plated), they are easy to use and require no lengthy break-in period. They hold more ink, making them comparatively more durable. Important usage notes: 1. No pre-heating or scrubbing with a toothbrush is necessary before use. 2. Some nibs may have original horizontal or vertical marks on the tip; these were made at the factory before sale to ensure immediate usability and are not defects. 3. If contact with oil causes poor ink adhesion or flow issues (e.g., from touching with hands or from wax on paper), simply wash gently with soap. Dry thoroughly before use. 4. Wash and dry the nib as soon as possible after use. Allow it to air dry completely before storing to prevent rust. 5. Minor corrosion on the pen body does not affect writing; corrosion on the nib itself will impact performance. All vintage/antique nibs are now out of production.
