Each strap comes with two keepers (one of which is fixed). **Premium Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather** This strap is made from "Buttero" vegetable tanned leather, produced from cowhide by the renowned Conceria Walpier tannery in the Tuscany region of Italy. Through a special process, the leather features a white wax coating that naturally wears away over time with use, revealing the beautiful colors beneath. Instead of relying on natural wear, we accelerate this process by hand-polishing with linen to remove the wax, achieving a silky, vibrant finish immediately. Because the polishing is done entirely by hand, each strap possesses unique patterns and character. **Lining Leather** The lining of the strap is also made from "Buttero" vegetable tanned leather from the same Conceria Walpier tannery. As the lining is in direct contact with the skin, we use only natural-colored "Buttero" for the lining. **Strap Thickness** The thickness of the strap is approximately 2.5 mm; it will adapt and mold to your wrist after a few days of wear. **Distinguishing Vegetable Tanned Leather** Rooted in centuries of craftsmanship and traditional techniques, vegetable tanning gives leather its distinct appearance and unparalleled durability. Due to the labor-intensive, less automated process and the need for highly specialized tanners, vegetable tanned leather has a significantly higher production cost, making it less widely used. Consequently, it accounts for only 20% of global leather production, while chrome-tanned leather makes up the remaining 80%. Unfortunately, it is difficult to distinguish by sight alone for the inexperienced. However, you can always trust your nose: vegetable tanned leather emits a rich, distinct leather scent that artificial plastic leathers and most other tanning methods lack. Over time, the color of the leather will gradually deepen and develop a beautiful, natural patina—a unique hallmark of vegetable tanned leather. **Special Note** Please note that leather is a natural product and may feature minor imperfections such as natural scars, stretch marks, or other surface marks. These are normal characteristics of genuine leather, though we strive to select the finest parts of the hide for production.
