Artist's Introduction: Clay is the softest, most universal memory residing deep within our hearts. It's an intimate friend, allowing us to shape it freely, molding it to our will. With both parents being ceramic artists, growing up surrounded by clay in the studio felt like the most natural thing in the world.
Tea culture is an integral part of Chinese heritage, but the demanding pace of modern life makes it difficult to fully immerse oneself in its beauty. Many classical traditions, such as calligraphy and the art of ink, are gradually being overlooked by younger generations. These are precious, uniquely Chinese cultural treasures. Our aesthetic education, from a young age, may have favored Western styles, drawn to more modern and striking designs and colors. I am particularly drawn to the freedom of ink; though limited to shades of black and white, it can express a myriad of emotions through variations in density, tone, and the dynamic flow of lines. By merging Chinese tea culture with the art of ink, I aim to attract young people through contemporary aesthetics they find appealing, transforming these traditions into engaging and fashionable experiences.
