This small hot water cup is crafted by combining these elements. This glaze is rich in character, its appearance changing with the thickness of the glaze application and firing temperature. In this particular firing, by setting the firing temperature slightly higher than usual, the glaze melted and flowed on the inside, creating deep indigo hues in places. Furthermore, areas with thicker and thinner glaze applications create flowing patterns, presenting scenery akin to snowy fields or starry skies. Its plump, rounded, and charming form fits comfortably in the hands, the curves of the vessel conforming to your palm when held with both hands. As the color is close to white, even transparent beverages like sencha or hojicha can be enjoyed, allowing their natural colors to be appreciated. Its slightly smaller size also makes it suitable for use as a sake cup for enjoying Japanese sake. Please enjoy it with your favorite beverage. The creation process is entirely done by hand, from clay kneading to forming, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, using a small electric kiln and electric potter's wheel at home. While mass production is not possible, each piece has its own unique expression, allowing you to enjoy the charm that comes from handmade craftsmanship. The item you receive will be the same as pictured. The base of the cup has been sanded to minimize scratching your table. We create various ceramic pieces in different colors and shapes, exploring the best combinations of glazes and clays.
