→ Product Introduction
Ge Ware is one of the renowned Five Great Kilns of the Song Dynasty in China (Ru Ware, Official Ware, Ge Ware, Jun Ware, Ding Ware). Ge Ware ceramics are characterized by a special surface texture known as "ice crackle," or "kai pian" in craft terminology.
Historically, these beautiful crackles were initially a flaw in ceramic production. However, rather than correcting them, artisans have long studied and refined them, transforming the ice crackle into a distinctive feature. Since ancient times, elegant scholars have often found beauty in imperfections, allowing their imaginations to imbue everyday life with artistic sentiment.
Master Ye's Ge Ware ice crackle, crafted with mature firing techniques, features a translucent, lake-blue-green glaze complemented by delicate crackles. It shimmers under different lights, sometimes bright, sometimes verdant, presenting a harmonious blend of earth and glaze. With sustained contact with tea, the fine crackles deepen, enhancing the piece's lustrous quality.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this work is designed for practical use. Master Ye meticulously adjusts each piece based on years of experience, ensuring every item is both user-friendly and durable.

→ Purchase Notes
* Most products in this design 馆 are purely handmade. The glaze and ash fall on each piece are unique, which is the charm of ceramic art. Therefore, once a single piece sells out, it will not be restocked, and you will not find an identical item. If a piece you admire is purchased by someone else, unfortunately, you will need to choose another item from our design 館。We apologize for any inconvenience. Alternatively, you may contact the designer to see if a similar piece is available.
* Dimensions are measured manually and may have an error of up to 0.5 cm.
* Pieces may exhibit traces from the crafting process, as they are all handmade or semi-handmade.
* During the firing process, natural distribution of glaze and ash fall may occur, which is entirely normal and part of what NATURE GLAZE emphasizes—the inherent naturalness of ceramics. If you have any questions about the product, please message us privately.
* Product images are taken in a photo studio with adjusted lighting and environment, but no post-production editing is used. Please refer to the actual product for color accuracy, as discrepancies will not be considered defects.
