We apply a waterproofing treatment to our ceramics using a food-safe sealant before shipping, so there is no need for you to perform a preliminary soaking (me-dame). This treatment requires 2-3 days to complete, which is why we set the shipping timeframe to 5 days from order placement. Please notify us at the time of purchase if you do not wish for this waterproofing treatment to be applied. - Cutlery shown in product images is not included. - We strive to capture and edit product images to accurately represent the actual item.
