The black and white doodle series from the Happy Zoo has arrived! The designs in this series are based on marker sketches from a previous exhibition. They feature whimsical, everyday scenes of animals, such as surfing, celebrating birthdays, drinking milk, or enjoying a rainy day. I truly love the spontaneous, hand-drawn feel of these doodles! Initially, Yabee began by sharing three black and white line-art animals drawn in a single day. Later, when creating merchandise, color became a consideration, and I grew to appreciate the vibrancy of color. This time, I wanted to be a little bolder and present a version filled with a strong doodle aesthetic in black and white line art. The result after transforming them into washi tape is very satisfying! When used in journals, they perfectly lend themselves to a minimalist, "salt system" style of collage. During the creation of this series, I recorded the entire hand-drawing process, and I'll be gradually editing the footage. Others are imaginative creatures, such as a rabbit falling into a cosmic black hole or a squirrel traveling in a tomato balloon.
