Some people allergy of nickel and so do I. I can't wear any necklace & earrings are made with nickel. I can only wear 925 Sterling silver, sometimes allergy to gold too because since gold is soft, nickel is used to make it harder.
I have tried the surgical steel and I found that I am okay with it either necklace or earrings. It's good idea to a lot of people, but some people still have bad reactions to surgical steel so if you are allergy to nickel or surgical steel, please purchase our 925 sterling silver necklace.
