mashu is the original brand of furoshiki from Kyoto's Baba Dyeing Studio. Established in Fushimi, Kyoto, in the second year of the Taisho era (1913), even a century later, all products are still meticulously hand-dyed by artisans using traditional kata-e-zome (stencil dyeing) techniques.
This collection features motifs of animals that carry auspicious meanings from both Japan and around the world, with the hope that this furoshiki will bring abundant good fortune to its owner.
