mashu is the original brand of furoshiki from Kyoto's Baba Dyeing Workshop. Established in Fushimi, Kyoto, in the second year of the Taisho era (1913), over a century later, all products are still meticulously hand-dyed by artisans using the traditional kata-e-zome (stencil dyeing) technique.
