Through a serendipitous discovery, we obtained a worn-out Hawaiian shirt from the 80s~90s, which we then modified and recreated these coconut tree and wooden house patterns. This unique fabric is woven from a blend of Austrian Lenzing Tencel (Lyocell Fiber) + Cotton. Tencel is a unique fiber derived from natural plants, hailed as one of the most valuable innovations in the history of man-made fibers in nearly half a century. Its natural luster and unique silky texture, combined with its superior breathability and drape, make it one of the most suitable fabrics for summer. The addition of cotton addresses Tencel's limitations, bringing it closer to perfection. The shirt's buttons are all made from natural coconut material, boasting a unique coffee-brown sheen, interspersed with light-colored plant fibers. Each button is hand-polished. The distinctive vintage pattern on their surface is also a recreation inspired by a 1960s-70s vintage Hawaiian shirt button, which is quite intriguing. The silhouette continues the characteristics of traditional Aloha Shirts. A slightly relaxed fit ensures unrestricted comfort when worn. The straight-cut hem and collarless design further enhance the overall casual feel. The placket and chest pocket maintain the pattern-matching cutting technique. These small details demand high skill and patience from our artisans. Each shirt requires time for independent pattern cutting, resulting in significant material loss. A pattern-matched shirt uses 1.5 times the material of an ordinary shirt, greatly increasing labor and material costs, all to meticulously perfect the details.
