As societal shifts occur and birth rates decline, by 2025, half of Taiwan's population will be over 45. This marks the beginning of facing an aging society and low birth rates. Consequently, an increasing number of foreign workers from Southeast Asian countries are assisting with family and elderly care. With this in mind, Teacher Wayne has designed a training course specifically for foreign caregivers. As culinary tools advance, our cooking methods should also evolve. Preparing meals the right way can result in heartwarming and healthy home-style dishes.
Here are our 3 main principles:
Deliciousness without excess oil: Aligns with modern dietary habits, applying scientific principles to cooking.
Rejecting excessive seasoning: Maximizing the natural flavors of ingredients.
Medium heat is just right: Selecting the appropriate oil and heat to reduce smoke and the production of carcinogens.

**Wayne Lin**
**“ I hope to foster human connection, convey warmth, and create value through cooking.”**
Born in Shilin District, Taipei, Taiwan. Studied in Australia from the age of 13 after junior high, majoring in Fine Arts at the University of Melbourne, with a Master's degree in Graphic Design. Spent over 14 years abroad before settling in Taiwan in 2007.
During his time abroad, he lived near Victoria Market for an extended period. With fresh ingredients readily available, he developed a deep interest in culinary research. He attended several short-term cooking training courses and learned some home-style dishes from a Sicilian Italian mother. His sociable nature allowed him to exchange food and culture with friends from various countries, offering him the opportunity to taste and learn many international home-style cuisines! In addition to traditional Taiwanese home-style cooking, he has a broad understanding of various international dishes. His personality is akin to an Australian's; he enjoys researching recipes and spices at his own pace, preferring not to follow trends, and only cooks dishes he genuinely enjoys!

**3. Via Line@, please inform us that you are a Pinkoi experience student.** In your Line@ message, state your name and the class you are registering for, e.g., "Hello, I am Lin XX, a Pinkoi student. I have completed online payment and am registering for the Italian Special Mediterranean Class on July 22nd."
**<Class Precautions>**
**1. Upon successful registration confirmation, we will notify you via LINE@. You will receive a reminder via SMS or LINE@ 3-5 days before the class.**
2. If the number of registered students does not meet the minimum class size, the organizer will arrange an alternative class time and proactively notify the registered students.
3. If a typhoon holiday is announced the day before the class, the organizer will arrange an alternative class time and proactively notify the registered students.
4. To promote environmental protection and reduce food waste, please bring your own containers to take home any unfinished food. (Eco-friendly lunch boxes are also available for purchase on-site.)
5. Individuals not registered for this experience should refrain from entering the activity area to avoid disturbing the instructor and other students.
6. The organizer reserves the final right to decide on the course content and menu. Any changes will be announced on the FB fan page and will not be individually notified.
7. As this event requires advance payment for venue rental and ingredient costs, **full or partial refunds will not be issued within 7 working days (excluding weekends).** If you are unable to attend the class due to personal reasons, please notify us in advance and find someone to attend in your place.
