The unique texture and flowing effect resembling peacock feathers are achieved through meticulous control over the thickness of each glaze layer and a 20-hour firing process at 1260°C. During this intense heat, the glaze contracts and flows, forming the intricate patterns. The difficulty in firing lies in precisely controlling the thickness of each glaze layer and adjusting the temperature curve. If the glaze is too thin or the temperature is insufficient, the peacock feather pattern will not appear. Conversely, if it's too thick or the temperature is too high, the glaze may run off the base, damaging the cup and the plate. Ambient temperature also influences the outcome. Numerous factors are at play, and even after years of study, achieving perfect control over its variations remains elusive. However, it is precisely these challenges that make the finished piece so precious. It is hoped that this work will inspire everyone to maintain hope when facing difficulties, to persevere with unwavering effort, and to one day unfurl their own beautiful feathers like a peacock, illuminating their lives with brilliance!
