Qing Dynasty Qianlong White Jade Boy Holding Ganoderma Lucidum

Made of white jade, it has a delicate texture, is translucent and crystal clear, and as creamy as snow. The whole body of the vessel is carved with a boy figure in a combination of round carving and openwork carving. The boy is sitting, with a round head, a peach-shaped bun, spindle-shaped eyes, a straight nose and a small mouth, and a smiling face. He wore a short shirt with a front lapel and loose trousers. The belt had a twisted silk pattern outlined with fine incised lines. There were soft and delicate incised pleats at the shoulders, knees and elbows, which were smooth and flowing, with lines full of tension. The overall carving technique is exquisite and delicate, the edges are polished and rounded, and the boy's body is well-proportioned and lively. Using a variety of carving techniques such as openwork and line engraving, the characters' expressions and clothing folds are all carved delicately and vividly, with the details being extremely precise and lifelike.
