This is a brooch designed in the traditional Japanese Kitsune mask style.
It is made using Nishijin-ori fabric.
The white-based fabric is interwoven with silver threads,
and the black-based fabric is interwoven with gold threads.
The characteristic patterns of Nishijin-ori adorn the Kitsune mask on each,
(Pattern types cannot be chosen).
The embroidery thread used is made of Japanese rayon.
This material is more delicate than the polyester commonly used,
and while it presents challenges in embroidery,
its characteristic luster after stitching is beautifully rich compared to polyester.
The sides are finished with a heat cut to prevent fraying of the fabric.
