White Pot - Shinogi

Original vessels created by ceramic artist Morishita Shingo. The lid was created by woodworker Yasushi Shimizu to fit the container. With this combination, a new "lidded container" was created. This time we would like to introduce a small bowl-type lidded piece. It has a rounded shape, but the mouth is square. The natural white body is faintly blue with a striking shinogi pattern. When you open the lid, the inside is the same color. The brown color of the zelkova matches the pale color of the main body, and the twig-like knob adds an accent. This is a piece that exudes a calm atmosphere. As an object, as a vessel... So, what would you put into this piece? How do you use it? ■Material: Container/Ceramics Lid: Zelkova, walnut ■Size: Width approx. 95mm, depth approx. 95mm, height approx. 117mm *The scale in the photo is 100mm in height. *The lid has a ceramic finish. It is resistant to moisture, but if left unattended it may stain, so if moisture gets on it, wipe it off as soon as possible. Also, do not use a dish dryer, dry it in direct sunlight, or use a microwave, as these may cause cracks or warping. Also, the lid is not airtight, so it is not suitable as a storage container for items that dislike moisture.
