There's a small story behind our decision to represent this brand.
In late 2024, just before a scheduled meeting in Korea, a sudden lockdown was imposed. Fortunately, it was lifted before our flight, and we arrived safely in Korea. However, shortly after, we found ourselves trapped in a subway car as a protest crowd surged, pushing us until breathing became difficult and movement impossible, leaving us almost suspended. We constantly worried about what would happen, fearing a stampede. We kept encouraging each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stand firm to avoid falling. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, leaving us shaken and tearful.
A few stops later, we exited the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene poses instantly calmed the storm we had just weathered. We, who were dazed and frightened, felt as if we had found solid ground again.
It truly made us realize, from the bottom of our hearts, how wonderful it is that cats exist in this world.
Hyejin's cat creations are a true treasure.
And so, this unforeseen partnership came to be. 🤍

Hyejin's style blends modernity with traditional Korean techniques, developed through slow, deliberate creation and hand-painting.
We are all deeply fond of the retro, nostalgic feel in her works, reminiscent of the folk paintings from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

Every stroke meticulously outlines exquisite details, creating artworks that invite prolonged admiration.
Creating art with traditional Korean craftsmanship requires immense patience. The artist applies color layer by layer, achieving rich depth and saturated, profound hues.
Even the smallest butterfly or grasshopper is rendered with such delicate soul.

Each painting captures the presence of cats sharing our space. The cats' "unhurried yet present" and "quietly companionable" demeanor conveys the message the artist wishes to communicate.
Hyejin frequently holds solo exhibitions in Korea and has been creating art for over a decade.

Hyejin primarily uses her own cats as her muses, depicting them with a playful yet sharp gaze, embodying that perfectly mischievous yet characterful feline spirit. There's a sense of conflicting yet harmonious balance, a seamless fusion of tradition and modernity.
Incorporating contemporary artistic styles and characters, she portrays the lives and thoughts of animals within traditional art.
She utilizes Korean paper, less commonly seen in the market, and employs precise brushwork techniques. This paper lends a gentle, warm overall tone to the artwork, while the delicate lines of her brushwork ensure intricate detail.

This warmth and unique combination allow contemporary painting styles to integrate seamlessly.
