In late 2024, just before a scheduled meeting in Korea, a sudden lockdown was imposed. Fortunately, it was lifted before our flight, and we arrived safely in Korea. However, shortly after, we found ourselves trapped in a subway car as a protest crowd surged, pushing us until breathing became difficult and movement impossible, leaving us almost suspended. We constantly worried about what would happen, fearing a stampede. We kept encouraging each other to stay calm, find ways to breathe, keep our heads up, and most importantly, stand firm to avoid falling. Thankfully, after a few stops, the overwhelming crowd disembarked at Yeouido Station, leaving us shaken and tearful. A few stops later, we exited the subway and unexpectedly stumbled upon Hyejin's exhibition. The cats' languid and serene poses instantly calmed the storm we had just weathered. We, who were dazed and frightened, felt as if we had found solid ground again. It truly made us realize, from the bottom of our hearts, how wonderful it is that cats exist in this world. Hyejin's cat creations are a true treasure.
