If you have specific delivery date requirements, please contact us via private message. ● About Vegetable-Tanned Leather Vegetable-tanned leather, also known as "澀皮" (se pi) or "樹膏皮" (shu gao pi), is tanned using natural plant-based agents. It contains no harmful substances, making it suitable for items that come into direct contact with the skin. It is considered an environmentally friendly leather. ● Color Development in Vegetable-Tanned Leather Natural vegetable-tanned leather deepens in color and becomes more lustrous and supple with use over time. Colored vegetable-tanned leather is dyed using non-polluting pigments in the most natural way. While black may not show the same dramatic color change as natural, it will still develop a beautiful, rich sheen with long-term use. Each piece develops its own unique character based on individual usage habits, which is the distinct charm of vegetable-tanned leather. ● Why Are There Various Marks on the Leather Surface? The most common marks include insect bites, growth lines, brands, and scars (holes). Scars (holes) are typically avoided in production. Brands may be incorporated into special designs depending on their size and shape. Natural cowhide exhibits wrinkles and growth lines due to different parts of the hide. During growth, cows may experience friction with others or insect bites. If the leather accidentally gets wet, wipe it clean with a cotton cloth and let it air dry in the shade. <Do not expose directly to sunlight.> To store, wipe the item clean with a cotton cloth, place it in a dust bag, and keep it in a well-ventilated, dry place.
