Their natural recolonization in the 1940s and population growth afterwards were made possible by wetland habitat restoration and protection. Famous for its silent flight and exceptional hearing, the Barn Owl is a much-loved native owl in the UK living in farmland and grassland. With more than 20 subspecies worldwide varying in size and color, these mastertul hunters are found across every continent except for Antarctica.
