A rare vacation brooch, acquired in France. The white material is celluloid, with a color resembling ivory white. It is very delicate, exquisite, and uncommon. This piece has been in my possession for at least 12 years, perhaps longer..... The materials are likely brass and celluloid. It has a substantial feel and is in good condition. The back is marked with "FRANCE". 5x4 cm. Additionally, I'd like to share some information about the safety clasp on the back. This type of clasp is called a Trombone Clasp, also known as a Push-pull safety clasp. This design is frequently seen in French and European jewelry. It was widely used in the 1940s, and even vintage Chanel pieces feature this design! You might want to check your own brooches to see if they have this feature.
