What is the wood-firing process?** American clay, Japanese clay, and Miaoli clay are kneaded in different proportions. The creation process involves pure hand-shaping (not on a potter's wheel) to slowly form the piece. After basic shaping, the lines of the body are refined, then polished to complete the greenware. Once placed in the kiln, it undergoes a continuous five-day, four-night wood-firing process using natural longan and acacia wood. The temperature reaches over 1200 degrees Celsius. During this time, natural ash deposits adhere to the works, forming a special ash glaze. Simultaneously, the flame patterns within the kiln flow among the pieces, creating beautiful orange-red or blue-purple flame marks. After five days and four nights of ash and flame interplay, a week of cooling is required before a piece achieves its beautiful form! What should discerning customers be aware of?** Product colors may vary slightly due to photographic lighting. As the works are purely handmade, they will inevitably bear the traces of the crafting process. Minor variations may also occur during firing, such as slight imperfections in the rim or small production scratches, which are considered normal and do not affect usability.
