It is gently hand-woven using two strands of fine yarn, so unlike machine-woven products, it is fluffy and soft with air in it, and has a very smooth texture that fits lightly against the body. A subtle and complex pattern is woven using a muted oyster white warp thread and a soft greyish melange blue weft thread. For about a quarter of the width of the fabric, the warp thread is a middle grey, adding variation to the weave pattern, and both ends are trimmed in melange blue, allowing you to enjoy different looks depending on how you wear it. This is a beautifully coloured shawl with a soft and muted atmosphere.
