In its early days, Celine did not engage in mass production like a large conglomerate; instead, it operated more like a niche brand today, producing a wide variety of styles in small batches. This beautiful era of "a hundred buckles blooming" was confined to its early years (perhaps I was born too late to witness it...). This Arch of Triumph circular charm is exquisitely detailed. Upon closer inspection, you'll notice numerous mini Arc de Triomphes surrounding the central, larger CELINE Arch of Triumph! Even this small buckle is imbued with a rich texture and incredibly fine engraving—a level of detail that modern pieces simply do not possess. I've kept one of these for myself; it's a stunning, creamy beige! This is the same color and style as the one I own; I'm a genuine user. When you pull the bag forward to open it and retrieve items, the bag and chain typically move forward together. This is because, with most bag designs, the chain is directly attached to the bag. Therefore, the chain resting on your shoulder can rub against your clothes as you pull the bag forward. However, this chain won't cause that issue! Because the chain on this bag "threads through" metal rings on the bag's flap, when you pull the bag forward, only the bag itself moves. The chain section doesn't move with the bag, so it won't rub against your clothes! More importantly, the chain won't scrape against the bag's leather due to movement! Hmm... The creamy beige color looks stunning when worn! The bag is made of lambskin, offering a soft and comfortable feel. It's a rare, clean, off-white shade – no yellowing or discoloration, just a gentle, soft, creamy beige that isn't harsh on the eyes! The front and back of the bag show no noticeable scratches, scuffs, or peeling. The stitching is strong and intact. There's a natural sheen to the leather. The bottom, edges, and corners have no scratches, scuffs, or wear, and no peeling issues, not even on the corners! The leather shows only minimal signs of use, such as fine textures upon close inspection, which are natural occurrences after use. The hardware where the chain threads through and the chain itself show only minimal signs of wear. The original chain is beautifully golden and sparkling. The interior lining is very clean, with no peeling, flaking, or signs of aging. The small inner pocket zipper glides smoothly. The interior brand tag is intact. The focal point, the Arch of Triumph circular emblem on the front, has incredibly clear and detailed engravings; upon close examination, you'll see many mini Arch de Triomphes encircling the large one. The craftsmanship is exquisite, and the hardware is beautifully golden with no obvious oxidation or gold loss. Remarkably, it even comes with its original dust bag! Overall, the bag is exceptionally clean, the leather is intact and lustrous, with no obvious flaws, and the cream color is pristine! It's a versatile and beautiful piece, and it's rare to find a cream-colored bag this clean! I feel fortunate to have acquired another one; it's a low-key design with a gentle, creamy hue. In terms of style, older designs were simpler, timeless, and enduring. Many modern styles are actually reproductions of older designs. However, new collections are priced higher than vintage ones. New designs are typically based on older models, with added details or altered designs. The final product often ends up being more complex (or even strange...) than its predecessors. As we grow older, we come to understand one thing: the simpler, the more enduring! As we age, we tend to return to basic clothing styles because the more basic, the more versatile. The quality of materials in older collections is also superior to newer ones. If you understand leather, you'll notice that the materials used in new collections are generally of a lower grade than those in vintage pieces. This is mainly because the cost of high-quality raw materials is too high today, and their availability is not as abundant as before, with Earth's resources dwindling! Furthermore, back then, brands did not have the ubiquitous presence of numerous stores like they do now... Their clientele mostly consisted of individuals with a certain income level and high expectations for their purchases. There wasn't the "fast fashion" culture of today; a bag was expected to be used for many years. The difference between new and old eras is clearly visible in the hardware. Many new collection hardware pieces oxidize and discolor after just one or two years, but vintage pieces typically do not. In addition to high-grade materials and meticulous craftsmanship, hardware from earlier eras was often plated with real 1K gold! It's worth noting that Chanel vintage bags are expensive for a reason; many of their buckle and chain components contain real gold, certified by gold merchants!
