This piece hails from France, from Bijoux Fix (established in 1823). The gold plating on this jewelry contains actual gold, which is why its golden hue is so beautiful and resistant to fading. The final image is a reproduction from an illustration book (the items in the illustration date approximately from 1900-1910). In the illustration, the eagle holds a dangling pearl or gemstone in its beak. However, by the time it came to me, this feature was no longer present. Despite this, it remains a very special piece, and I hope it finds its destined owner. The overall craftsmanship of the eagle is exquisite, with its talons, wings, and intricate details rendered with lifelike precision. The brooch is in very good condition, featuring a C-clasp with an antique joint at the back. Material: Gold-plated. Substantial weight.
