It chronicles her life in the English countryside, bringing to life the flora and fauna she observed over a year through her delicate illustrations. I find myself captivated by her depictions of butterflies, birds, and wildflowers. Though Edith Holden might not be a renowned painter, her work offers the most tender portrayal of country life I've ever seen. The vitality of the birds, the graceful posture of the flowers, the diligence of bees at work, and the mesmerizing dance of butterflies are all rendered with such warmth. It's a truly beautiful, old treasure. / Each page is adorned with exquisite handwritten notes and beautifully colored illustrations. The book contains 176 pages and has been reissued by a UK publisher in recent years. While I've seen other editions abroad, this particular version is my favorite. / I've included some interior photos here. If the content resonates with you, and you're able to embrace the subtle imperfections of a vintage book (such as normal signs of wear: creases, minor smudges, edge wear, potential small tears on pages), then this old book might just be waiting for you. 【 Please Note 】 ✓ The actual pages have a natural yellowing, which appears more like an off-white or creamy hue in photos. ✓ This is a pre-loved vintage book and will show signs of normal use: including creases, minor smudges, edge wear, and possible small tears on pages. ✓ This is a vintage item, not a brand-new book (we are a vintage shop, after all!). ✓ There is no cover photo available at the moment, as cover designs can vary significantly across different printings. If you're drawn to the content, please proceed with your order. Focus on the beauty within, rather than the weathered exterior. https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a01.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a02.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a03.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a04.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a05.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a06.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a07.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a08.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a09.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a10.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a11.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a12.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a13.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a14.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a15.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a16.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a17.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a18.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a19.jpg https://smilelife.tw/imgs/pro/2019_0214_a20.jpg
