[History of Yeh Tien]
In the early 1920s, the first-generation owner, Yeh Ah Tien, founded "Yeh Ah Tien Blacksmith Shop," producing "agricultural tools" using traditional blacksmithing methods. The sickles, hoes, and pruning shears produced at the time were widely known and marked the earliest origins of Yeh Tien knife making.
In 1980, the fourth generation took over and began producing household kitchen knives, extensively incorporating Japanese steel technology into their designs. The company transitioned into an OEM factory for major brands, producing knives for various cutlery brands across Taiwan.
In 1990, the company was renamed "Yeh Tien Cutlery Co., Ltd." To this day, spanning over a century, Yeh Tien has focused on creating knives suitable for Taiwanese people. By integrating modern design with century-old craftsmanship, the brand offers high-quality, locally made Taiwanese knives that align with contemporary lifestyles, featuring a physical store to continue serving the community with dedication.
