If it's merely closed without wilting, it will reopen when the sun comes out the next day. After the flower wilts, there's no need to prune or remove it. It will naturally wither and fall off or collapse. The number of flower buds on each potted cactus varies. Some may still be in bud, while others might open during transit. It's also possible that the flowers have already wilted by the time you receive it. The designer occasionally photographs the cactus while it's in bloom, but it might have finished flowering by the time you purchase it.
