Shallow Bowl in Off-White Matte Glaze with Amber Rim

Fine-grained white clay, with a glaze color and texture that truly shines. A subtly warm, off-white matte glaze. These elements are combined to create this rounded, shallow bowl. The rim of the bowl is accented with an amber-colored glaze, which has formed flowing patterns during firing. With its ample depth and a size that fits comfortably in both hands, this shallow bowl is exceptionally versatile. Perfect for salads, simmered dishes, stir-fries, soups, and stews. Enjoy it with cereal or yogurt. It's also ideal for rice dishes and noodle dishes like mixed soba. We hope you'll enjoy it with a wide variety of your favorite meals. All stages of production, from kneading the clay to shaping, bisque firing, glazing, and final firing, are meticulously done by hand in my home studio, equipped with a small electric kiln and a potter's wheel. The plump, rounded form, the soft texture, and the slight heft all contribute to its authentic ceramic feel. While mass production is not possible, each piece possesses its own unique character, offering a charm that comes from being handmade. The item you receive will be the exact one shown in the product images. The base of the bowl has been smoothed with sandpaper to minimize any potential scratching of your table. Please note that there is a small, bubble-like glaze imperfection on the inside of the bowl. We kindly ask for your understanding. I explore various glazes and clays, constantly seeking the best combinations to create ceramics in a wide range of colors and shapes. Each piece is unique, and while they may appear similar, no two are ever exactly alike. It would bring me great joy if you could find a piece that you truly love. We hope you'll find that the cozy atmosphere woven by the clay and glaze adds a touch of everyday beauty to your life. ----- *Size and Weight* Diameter: 16.1 cm Base Diameter: 5.5 cm Height: 4.8 cm Weight: 253g ----- *Important Notes for Purchase and Use* - Due to the porous nature of ceramic, it may absorb liquids, potentially leading to staining within crazing or slight seepage.
